A throng of Bayambangueños trooped to the Municipal Covered Court last Sunday, November 6, to show support for the comeback fight of ‘Pambansang Kamao’ Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio against the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Jessie Vargas.

The activity was sponsored by Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao and the Sangguniang Bayan members with the help of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Department, whose staff set up and operated the LED widescreen to accommodate the fans and supporters of the pound-for-pound king.

The viewers were also treated to free snacks and beverages as they watched and enjoy the fight.

During the fight, loud cheers and peals of laughter were heard every time the Pacman threw a powerful left hand and right jab, which did a lot of damage to Vargas’ face.

Towards the end, a picture of a very pleased and contented Bayambangueños was evident as Pacquiao emerged victorious and thus claiming the belt for being the new WBO welterweight champion. (Bayambang PIO/Media Affairs)
