Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Romarie Soriano said the workshop aims to craft a three-year term plan which shall be incorporated in the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of the LGU.

Bayambang Police Chief, PSupt. Cirilo Acosta, said that the participants will not be a part of the Peace and Order Council, hence they will serve as technical working group in the formulation of the POPS plan. “This will be a big help for us in eradicating illegal drugs and other crime-related activities with them lending their expertise in their own fields,” Acosta added.

Acosta further said that this will be formulated and approved by the Peace and Order Council to improve life in the town by ensuring social protection and safety in the locality.

The DILG tapped the assistance of different personnel from the different LGU agencies to help orient members of the Peace and Order Council down to the grassroots regarding the formulation of the POPS plan. These agencies are as follows: Rural Health Unit 1 and 2, Department of Agriculture, Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), Vice-Mayor’s Office, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and the Municipal Planning and Development Council (MPDC).
