20-day Skills Training on Housekeeping Held in Amanperez

In an effort to give better lives to poor families, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) under DSWD Region I’s Program Development Office is conducting a 20-day skills training on housekeeping, held at the Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation training center in Brgy. Amanperez.

Livelihood and Skills Development Consultant Danilo Gozum said this training will provide the participants the knowledge and skills necessary to be able to acquire employment, which should generate a stable source of income.

“This will surely help them support their families with their daily needs,” Gozum added.

The skills training is a capacity-building grant given to eligible SLP participants to enhance their skills for higher productivity and employability.

The training was participated in by 27 selected beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) aged 18 to 35 years old.

The training was sponsored by the Local Government Unit of Bayambang in terms of providing the venue, snacks and meals.

The training started last October 18 and is expected to end on the 17th of November. (Bayambang PIO/Media Affairs)
