ICT Dep’t purchases Canon’s information management software package

The LGU, through the Information and Communication Technology Department headed by Carmela Atienza, has acquired Canon Philippines’ UniFLOW and Therefore(TM), two software programs to help the LGU departments manage and store their documents, resulting in paperless transactions and more efficient workflow.

As explained by Baltazar Balmores, Canon’s System Analyst/Specialist, UniFLOW is an input system that will connect the different models of Canon copier machines being used to allow the monitoring of all logs for printing, copying, and scanning. In short, it will serve as a tracking system of such copier machine tasks across the entire organization’s printer fleet.

On the other hand, Therefore(TM) is a document/input information management system that will serve as a central database, a digital repository of all the documents produced and processed by the LGU.

According to ICT Department Systems Administrator Jezreel John Junio, Therefore(TM) has been in use since last week.

Balmores revealed that Bayambang is the first-ever municipality in all of northern Luzon to use such information management platforms.
