LGU Goes Hawaiian in its 2016 Christmas Party

The LGU family chose a Hawaiian theme for this year’s Christmas party held on December 21 at the Municipal Covered Court. That means more than 600 beautiful employees exchanging alohas in fetching floral dresses and shirts, grass skirts, flip-flops, khakis, board shorts, and palm hats. Someone was spotted to be minimally covered in leaves and garlands, while another coolly went around carrying a (plywood) surfboard.

Fruit punch and other refreshments were served at the Tiki Bar, while every table was loaded with a luau of meat dishes, tropical fruits, wine, and sweets.

The attendees gamely danced to the island music played live by the LGU Band, among other songsters.

The night was also a showcase of unbelievable talents among the LGU people, as the different departments competed in the evening’s performance competition. The merged Mayor’s Office/ICT/MAC/Library Departments (performing a hodgepodge of numbers) tied with the Treasury Department (performing a charming Hawaiian dance) for the coveted prize. They each won P15,000.

The only thing missing in the picture was the sand.
