BPRAT Attends S&T Meeting in DOST-Lingayen

Last June 21, the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team (BPRAT) had a dialog with the Department of Science and Technology (Lingayen office) regarding the holding of a Science and Technology (S&T) Caravan.

According to BPRAT head Dr. Joel T. Caybyab, an S&T Caravan aims to strengthen S&T awareness and showcase S&T programs among locals.

An S&T Caravan will be held in Bayambang on August 12-16, 2019, and the following activities are scheduled: exhibits of different technologies, forums/tech talk, technolsogy trainings, calibration, offsite training, and other educational activities.

The target beneficiaries will include different sectors such as as farmers, solo parents, LGBTQI, ysouth, women, senior citizens, PWDs, 4Ps beneficiaries, and MSMEs.

In line with with, Dr. Cayabyab mentioned the possible creation of a Municipal Science and Technology Coordinating Council (MSTCC) to help advance the aforementioned causes.
