Vice Mayor Raul Sabangan The New MAC Chief

Vice-Mayor Raul R. Sabangan was elected as the new Chairman of the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) of Bayambang Police Station today, September 22, 2016.

Bayambang Officer-in-Charge, Police Supt. Cirilo Acosta, Jr. said MAC is in line with Bayambang Police Station (PS) Implementation Plan No. 07-2013, which mandates that such a Council be organized to assist in identifying key priorities and strategic issues in accordance with the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 to provide insights in aligning the PNP’s policies, plan and programs with the multi-sectoral development needs of the organization.

MAC shall provide pro bono its expertise to deal with issues of strategic importance to the organization, consequently leading to the successful accomplishment of the PNP’s mission and attainment of its vision.

Further, the council shall provide the needed external perspectives and guidance on the key issues and concerns pertaining to the PNP. This will also act as a channel for networks to help the Bayambang PS find solutions to pressing issues.

MAC is composed of personalities from different sectors, specifically representatives from the LGU, business sector, education, religious, mass media, community/civil sector/NGO/youth in order to achieve a maximum degree of efficiency on issues of strategic importance to the organization.

MAC also aims to support the programs and advocacies of Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation by encouraging the drug ‘surrenderers’ to participate in wholesome activities or training offered by the foundation.
According to Sabangan, the reorganization of MAC will be a significant assistance in enforcing the town’s security and, at the same time, this will make Bayambang the best municipality to invest in and raise a family.

Rodelynn Rajini Sagarino, Bayambang District Hospital Director Dr. Nario DG Ferrer, MDRRMC Officer Genevieve Benebe, Rotary Club member Dr. Henry Fernandez, Pangasinan State University Department Head Dr. Joel Cayabyab, and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Lerma Padagas, Eagle’s journalist Jude Briones, PROVECOM President Ralph Friaz, and Pastor Bernardo Macaraeg as Members.
