Two Bayambangueñas were regional topnotchers of the national Midwifery Licensure Examination held in November 2017.

Mary Robe Joy C. Lanuza, RN, RM, was regional 4th placer (86.90 %), while Mary Runa Grace C. Lanuza, RN, RM, was regional 5th placer (86.60%). This means they belong to the top 10 placers for Regions I, II, III, and CAR.

The two sisters are from Burgos St., Zone 4, and now co-manage their birthing home, the Lanuza Birthing Home, also located along Burgos St.

They were honored by Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao and his lady Niña Jose-Quiambao at Nina’s Café late last year where they received certificates of appreciation, from LGU-Bayambang.
