MOA Signing Between 1Document Corp. and PSU to Benefit Local Farmers


The Pangasinan State University – Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. I Food Innovation Center (PSU-DOST I FIC) and One Document Corp. signed a Memorandum of Agreement on Tuesday, December 19, at the Office of the President, PSU Main Campus in Lingayen, Pangasinan allowing the adoption of FIC’s vaccum-frying technology by 1Document Corp.

Under the MOA, 1Document as represented by Jorge M. Yulo would be adopting the technology used in producing vacuum-fried okra, onion, and squash which was developed by PSU-DOST I FIC researchers. PSU-DOST I FIC Focal Person Raquel C. Pambid explained that the products they are producing are healthy, natural, and non-carcinogenic.

After signing with PSU President Dr. Dexter R. Buted, Yulo proceeded to PSU Bayambang with PSU-DOST I FIC Manager Wilma M. de Vera and other representatives where they were met by Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao.

Yulo and Quiambao sampled and discussed the potential of the products that 1Document would soon be marketing. They also inspected the technology being used to make the products.

The collaboration is a big step in the Quiambao-Sabangan administration’s Revolution against Poverty because it would bring more opportunities to vegetable farmers in Bayambang as their products would be ones which will be used in production.

PSU Bayambang Campus Executive Director Rhodora Malicdem was also present during the signing. Representing LGU Bayambang were Municipal Employment Services Office Manager Dr. Joel T. Cayabyab and Municipal Senior Tourism Officer Rafael L. Saygo.
