Due to insistent public demand and banking on the previous success of the project, the Bayambang Public Employment Service Office (PESO) staged anew the “Agew na Propesyonal” at the Bayambang Events Center last June 10. Agew na Propesyunal offered a host of fast-tracked Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) services, including processing of application for renewal of professional identification cards, application for licensure examination, and release of professional ID cards and board certificates.
The activity attracted 712 professionals from Bayambang, including LGU employees. This is an unexpected turnout, way above the 200 projected number of applicants, so the PES and PC teams had to work overtime until 7 pm.
PESO Manager Joel Cayabyab said that, with the Bayambang local government collaborating with the PRC, the professional applicants were spared the extra time, money and effort needed in travelling to the regional office in Baguio City.
