Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao has promised the residents of Barangay Pantol that he will build a bridge that will connect the far-flung barangay to San Gabriel 2nd as he took the “Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan,” a comprehensive community-based LGU services program held in Barangay Pantol last May 30.
Quiambao said the move will enable the residents to have a much closer and easier access to the programs and services of the local government which are only available at the center of the town.
As part of the 2nd District of Bayambang, Pantol was supposed to join the other barangays of their district in Manambong Sur last April 22. But the local chief executive said he was saddened by the fact that one needs to cross two towns in order to reach Barangay Pantol, which is located at the southeastern tip of Bayambang.

“Nakakapagod, napakalayo, kailangan mo pang daanan ang mga bayan ng Alcala at Bautista bago mo marating ang Barangay Pantol,” Quiambao exclaimed.
According to Quiambao, he will allocate a certain budget for the construction of the bridge and vowed to finish it before his term expires, to the delight of some 554 recipients of the activity and the barangay officials.
Pantol Barangay Captain Efren G. Perez, Jr. thanked Mayor CTQ and Vice-Mayor Raul Sabangan and the rest of the Sangguniang Bayan for their care and support to his constituents even though the tandem did not win in their area during the elections.
Perez also pointed out that Quiambao and Sabangan’s negative experience in this barangay during the election did not stop them from giving community services to his barangay, but instead chose to forget the past experience of the election and focused on helping their constituents and now they will have a bridge.
The Quiambao-Sabangan administration, according to Perez, is truly living up to its election campaign promises. [Quiambao and Sabangan] are real public servants who give quality services to their constituents. “I will pledge my loyalty and promise to support the projects of Mayor CTQ and the LGU,” Perez added.
