Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao led the awarding of Bayambang’s outstanding teachers on Educators’ Night held April 5 at the Municipal Plaza Auditorium.

Plaques of recognition were handed to the following individuals as 2017’s Outstanding Educators of Bayambang:

I. Outstanding Teachers

Charlie G. Malicdem – District I

Rhodora S. Mondero – District II

Mari Ann J. Junio – Bayambang National High School

Dr. Raymund R. Marcos – Bayambang National High School

Rafael L. Saygo – Nationalized High School

Dr. Zosima M. Sison – Pangasinan State University

II. Outstanding Administrators

Dr. Darcy G. Lopez – District I

Dr. Laila G. Alonzo – District II

Dr. Mary Ann J. Payomo – Bayambang National High School

Dr. Armando D. Junio – Pangasinan State University

III. Outstanding Educator

Dr. Maria Celia Junio-Fernandez – Schools Division Office I Pangasinan

After the awarding, Campus Director of the Pangasinan State University-Bayambang Campus, Dr. Cesar T. Della, stood on behalf of the awardees to give some words of gratitude for the honor bestowed on them.

In his inspirational message, Mayor Quiambao enumerated the steps he has taken in the field of education, from the increased allocation for the Special Education Fund, to the donation of his entire salary to Bayambang’s public school teachers. This underscored his utmost regard for the teaching profession and conveyed the message that education is one of his administration’s top priorities.

The guest of honor and speaker on this night was Dr. Alma Ruby C. Torio, who is the Director of the Department of Education Regional Office No. 1

Ballroom dancing and dance presentations made the otherwise formal occasion festive.
