“Ang programang ito ay ‘ration type’ at ipinapatupad tuwing first and second quarter of the year,” paliwanag niya.
“The beneficiaries were identified during the Operation Timbang Plus or OPT Plus or mass weighing of all 0-71-month old children in 77 barangays of Bayambang from January to March of 2019. Priority is given to underprivileged children.”
“Aside from the food packs, binigyan din sila ng quality vitamins, and mothers are required to attend ‘Idol Ko si Nanay’ Classes or Mother’s Classes.”
Dagdag pa ni Bueno, “Supplementary feeding is one of the major nutrition-specific programs of the Philippine Plan of Action in Nutrition (PPAN) 2017-2022 na responsibilidad ng LGU na ipatupad using its funds through the Municipal Nutrition Council, as per Memorandum Circular 2018-42 on the Adoption and Implementation of the PPAN.”
