ICT Office Bags 3 Digital Cities PH Awards

The progress of Bayambang in terms of digitalization is becoming more and more evident as the Information and Communications Technology Office brought home three national-level awards during the Digital Cities PH Awards night held at the Philippine International Convention Center on October 12, 2018.

ICT Office Head Carmela Atienza-Santillan, together with Municipal Planning and Development Officer Malene Torio, Municipal Local Government Officer Romarie Soriano, Senior Tourism Operations Officer Rafael Saygo and the ICT staff, Jezreel Junio and Armando Junio, received the awards for the Best in eGov Systems for Global Competitiveness (G2W), Best in eGov Digital Finance Empowerment (P2G), and Best in eGov Customer Empowerment (G2C) with the assistance of the Public Information Office and other LGU departments and units. The 1st Place in G2W Award was won for the Motorized Tricycle Operators Permit System with E-Tagging Technology, the 2nd Place in the P2G Award is for the Integrated Local Government Unit System, and the 3rd Place for the G2C Award was won because of the Bayambang Emergency Response System or #4357.

The Quiambao-Sabangan administration’s vision to make Bayambang a smart town is now closer than ever. This achievement is a manifestation of the continuous development of the town in terms of digitalization and the many projects of the ICT office lead towards the achievement of this vision.

Bayambang is the Only Municipality that represented Region 1 and the participation in the Digital Cities PH Awards is just one of the many firsts of the LGU under the Quiambao-Sabangan Administration.
