Bayambang’s Municipal Agriculture Office staff participates in the Joint Meeting of Municipal/City Agriculturist, Provincial Agriculture Office, DA RFO-1 and its attached line agencies to assess the Department of Agriculture’s Rice Program, today, February 7, 2023, at the Provincial Training and Development Center I, Capitol Complex, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The following is the said meeting’s list of agenda:

• Presentation of latest policy and program directions of DA
• Palay planting update for Dry Season CY 2022-2023 as of Feb. 3, 2023 and accomplishment for CY 2022.
• Rice program update and presentation of palay seed positioning and seed distribution status vis-a-vis target for palay wet and dry cropping season CY 2023-2024
• Presentation of inbred seeds allocation for Wet and Dry Season CY 2023-2024
• Presentation of palay planting and harvesting forecast and accomplishment for CY 2022
• Presentation of ongoing rice techno demo projects under DA in the province
• Update on rice seeds production/certification
• Irrigation updates (water distribution and management for dry season CY 2022) and maintenance of irrigation facilities
• Presentation of action plan to address concerns on tampered/faked hybrid corn seeds
• Presentation of action plan on FAW or fall armyworm infestation mitigation and measures
• Update on livestock programs
