In a country where having fair skin is often equated to beauty

In a country where having fair skin is often equated to beauty, Denielle Joie Magno continues to defy odds in the world of Philippine pageantry. This proudly morena Bayambangueña is breaking boundaries as one of the official candidates for this year’s Binibining Pilipinas and she is showing the entire country the disposition of Bayambangueñas that goes beyond beauty.

Denielle Joie, or Denj as her friends call her, became a finalist of Miss World Philippines 2018 where she introduced her advocacy entitled “It’s Time to SSH: Stop Sexual Harassment, Speak Against Sexual Harassment,” a campaign that aims to empower survivors and end sexual abuse. During the course of Miss World Philippines, she actively helped victims of harassment come to terms with their experience, and even after the pageant, she continues to educate Filipinos, especially young women, about the topic. Just recently, she paired up with Breaking the Silence Movement in an attempt to once for all end sexual harassment and to make the Philippines a safe space for men and women.

As a flight attendant and businesswoman by profession, and a beauty queen by passion, this 25-year old Bayambangueña continues to inspire women all over the country. With her kind heart, inner strength, and striking beauty, Denj Magno is ready to represent Bayambang and conquer the stage once again as one of the official candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2019.

Bayambangueños, let us show our love and support for our very own pride, Denielle Joie “Denj” Nuñez Magno!
