To further dispel the rumor that circulated online regarding the situation in Bacnono dike, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office headed by Genevieve U. Benebe accompanied GMA 7’s crew to the site together with Media Affairs Officer Dr. Leticia B. Ursua on September 17.

The public is hereby advised to be extra-discerning when faced with unfiltered social media information, especially when it has potential to cause widespread panic. As they say, “Think before you click.”
