MRF Purchases New Shredder and Rotary Composter

The Municipal Material Recovery Facility (MRF) has acquired two new equipment, MRF’s Luz Cayabyab revealed on December 13.

She said the mechanical shredder and the rotary composting machine together cost P3.9M. The rotary composter, she added, is a one-tonner (in capacity) and can separate liquid from solid organic waste.

During the supplier’s demonstration, the shredder was shown to feature a magnetic body which ensures all steel materials are screened out from the shredded organic and non-organic waste.
