Pre-K Festival and Dance Contest Bring Together Daycare Workers, Parents and Their Wards

Bayambang’s Federation of Child Development Workers (FCDW) staged this year’s Children’s Festival last December 11 with much aplomb and merrymaking.

The day started with an early parade featuring gaily decorated floats carrying exquisitely costumed young ladies.

In the following program at the Events Center, Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao reminded the audience of their respective duties to the young children as teachers and parents, and expressed the support of the local government in furthering the same interest: to develop the young ones into empowered, productive citizens someday.

A dance contest participated in by CDWs and daycare pupils’ parents was held next. According to Bayambang’s FCDW president Marvin P. Bautista, the competition was meant to promote bonding between the CDWs and their wards’ parents.

Mayora Niña Jose-Quiambao lent further glitter to the occasion by gracing the coronation part, in which she crowned the fest’s reigning child ‘royalties.’
