Various Barangays Awarded ZOD Certificates


Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao, Vice-Mayor Raul R. Sabangan, Councilors Amory Junio, Martin Terrado and Mylvin Junio, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Paz F. Vallo, Rural Health Unit II head Dr. Adrienne Estrada, and Rural Sanitary Inspector Henry Austria presented certificates to another set of barangays on Monday, December 4, to declare their completion of the Zero Open Defecation Program.

These are Barangays Iton, Paragos, Telbang, Ambayat 1st, Caturay, Carungay, San Vicente, Pangdel, Bical Norte, Wawa, Tococ, San Gabriel 2nd, Tatarac, San Gabriel 1st, Ambayat 2nd, Darawey, Apalen, Dusoc, Amancosiling Norte, Bical Norte, Buayaen, Reynado, Hermoza, Inirangan, Managos, and Tampog. Their respective Punong Barangays personally received the certificates.

Several other barangays received the same certifications in an earlier awarding ceremony.

“The target of this drive is: no more open defecation in the entire town by 2018,” said Mayor CTQ.

Bayambang reportedly has 1,911 households without a toilet.
