Komprehensibong Serbisyo in Sapang/District 7


Medical, dental, and other services were offered to Bayambangueños from Banaban, Duera, Sapang and Tamaro during the most recent Komprehensibong Serbisyo sa Bayan, which was held November 10.

Sapang Brgy. Captain Vicente de Leon was all smiles as he welcomed the different Local Government Unit (LGU) departments to Sapang Elementary School where they brought their services to the remaining barangays in District 7.

According to Vice-Mayor Raul R. Sabangan, Komprehensibong Serbisyo is a way for the Quiambao-Sabangan administration to alleviate problems, especially medical problems, in Bayambang. Sabangan told a story about how an old woman approached him and smiled gleefully at him as she showed off her dentures. He said that the lady wanted to express her thanks to Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao for creating a program which gave her the confidence to smile.

Municipal Senior Tourism Officer Rafael Saygo, who emceed the short program, thanked the guest doctors, Dr. Macrina Iglesias, Dr. Nicolas Miguel and Dr. Henry Fernandez, and guest dentists Dr. Araceli Galsim, Dr. Bea Bautista, and Dr. George Tan, who are tirelessly giving their services to Bayambangueños for free.

Also gracing the event were former Vice-Mayor Jose Ramos and Municipal Councilors Martin Terrado, Mylvin ‘Boying’ Junio, Joseph Vincent Ramos and Amory Junio, while among the department heads present were Komprehensibong Serbisyo Chairman Ismael ‘Jojo’ Malicdem Jr., RHU II Head Dr. Adrienne Estrada, Municipal Assessor Annie de Leon, HR Head Nora Zafra, and MDRRMO Head Genevieve U. Benebe.

Among the many things he talked about, Mayor Quiambao announced that Bayambang has the most number of ambulances, with five of them available in case of an emergency. Quiambao observed that “maunlad ang ating bayan dahil wala nang korapsyon sa bayan ng Bayambang,” then he promised that by 2028, poverty in Bayambang will be eradicated through the help of proper education, health, and infrastructure development which will provide jobs to the people.

According to the official tally, there were 1,046 beneficiaries/clients who went to this 9th Komprehensibong Serbisyo.
