Scores of people showed up along the riverside near Calvo Bridge in the early morning of March 4, 2017 for the clean-up drive scheduled by the Local Council of Women (LCW).

The activity was held in preparation for the upcoming Mural Painting Contest during the fiesta week (April 1-8).

The clean-up drive also forms part of the celebration of the Women’s Month, as the LCW believes in “the importance of protecting the environment and nurturing our Mother Earth.”

The trash-gathering activity was also conducted in coordination with the LGU’s Tourism Department led by OIC Gloria Valenzuela as a cleanliness and beautification campaign targeting the general populace. (Bayambang PIO/Media Affairs Office)
