Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao joined Council President Niña in the ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by some department heads, Council members, LGU employees and passers-by. Many items, usually at bargain basement prizes, were snapped up by eager buyers.

Proceeds of the sale will go to livelihood programs and other projects for the women of Bayambang.

The grand opening of the bazaar is just one of the activities lined up by the Council this month. According to one of the organizers, Valentine Garcia, the group is slated to have a caroling around town to raise funds for their upcoming Christmas party.

They will also do a medical mission, offer free haircut and makeover, stage free feeding activities, and visit women in the San Carlos City correctional, among other events.

The Council is knocking on the door of able Bayambangueños to pitch in for their cause. (Bayambang PIO/Media Affairs)
