Fun-filled activities were brought upon selected daycare children by the Office of the Municipal Librarian headed by Ms. Leonarda Allado, as her team conducted a two-day storytelling in the daycares of Brgy. Magsaysay and Brgy. M.H. Del Pilar last November 28 and 29.

Allado was accompanied by the Office of the Senior Citizen’s Affairs chairman, Iluminada Mabanglo, who served as “Lola Basyang,” as she narrated the story of “Magic Box,” a story of a poor young boy who befriended a magical creature.

The story was well-received, judging by the children’s enthusiastic response.

The children were also given prizes from the raffle draw, question-and-answer portion and coloring contest held after the storytelling.

During the activity, the children were given free snacks sponsored by the local government of Bayambang.

Allado said the activity was in line with the celebration of National Book Week, which falls every last week of November.
