Hundreds of applicants showed up to take part in the fight against poverty during the Mega-Job Fair held by the Municipal Public Employment Services Office in conjunction with the 2023 Pista’y Baley celebration on March 31 at the Pavilion I of St. Vincent Prayer Park, Brgy. Bani.
In a brief program introduced by OIC MESO Gernalyn J. Santos, Municipal Administrator, Atty. Rodelynn Rajini S. Vidad, and Councilor Martin E. Terrado II gave inspiring messages. Following that, DOLE official Lizlee Puzon gave an orientation on the job-hunting activity.
MESO invited 25 local companies and 3 overseas companies to offer employment to Bayambangueños and citizens of nearby areas.
The local companies that participated included CSFirst Green Agri Industrial Development Inc, Staff Search Asia Service Cooperative, JKQ Medical & Wellness Center, Incorporated, VXI Global Holdings (Clark), Add Even Manpower Resources & Solutions Incorporated, ACABAR Marketing International Incorporated, 1Food Corporation, Tarlac A+ Lending Co. Incorporated, Clean Edge Manpower Solution, RPR Promotion,1 Premiere Land Marketing Company/Centro Verde Bayambang, 1ST MEGASAVER, ARC Refreshments Corporation, FILINVEST Land Incorporated, Sumi North-Philippines Wiring Systems Corporation, SM Hypermart, J.G Manpower Services, Yokohama Tire Philippines, Incorporated, One Source General Solutions Incorporated, PANDAYAN Bookshop, ADDESSA, Foundever (SITEL Philippines), GAC Distribution Center Corporation, Nuebe Service Cooperative, at Topwill Marketing Dept. Inc. (Savewise Supermarket). Meanwhile, the participating Domestic companies includes Eyequest International Manpower Services Incorporated, EMR Construction & Manpower Services, Incorporated, at Lau` Mel International Staffing Services Incorporated.
The Mega-Job Fair attracted 391 applicants, with 287 of them qualified, 35 hired on the spot, and 69 close to being hired.
Alongside the Mega-Job Fair, a farmer from Mangayao, Richard Ursua, was awarded with a water pump as livelihood assistance grant by DOLE Regional Office No. 1a Central Pangasinan Field Office.
