Epitome of Grace and Empowerment: De Luna Crowned as Bb. Bayambang 2023 by Lawrence Rosales (BNHS)

Exuding grace and wit while embodying an empowered Bayambangueña, Miss Sandra de Luna of Brgy. Bical Norte was adjudged as this year’s Bb. Bayambang at the Coronation Night held at Bayambang Events Center, March 29, 2023.

Her stellar performance during the pageant’s swimwear, creative costume, and evening gown competitions and her impactful answer during the question-and-answer portion made her capture the hearts of the judges and audience in this year’s most prestigious brain-and-beauty tilt for Bayambangueñas.

When asked about the importance of environmental protection in poverty alleviation, De Luna left a mark on everyone’s heart and awed the judges with her answer emphasizing the concepts of proper waste management and the 5R’s of waste segregation.

Meanwhile, Aliyah Macmod of Zone II ended her Binibini journey as Miss Tourism, while Miss Chzaira Pagsolingan of Telbang was adjudged as Miss Charity. Also copping major awards are Miss Precious Angel Ercilla of Buenlag 2nd (1st Runner Up) and Letisha Velasco of Magsaysay (2nd Runner Up).

The Bb. Bayambang coronation night is undeniably one of the most awaited and beautiful nights in Bayambang featuring 18 beautiful Binibini’s from various barangays of Bayambang who showcased beauty for love and service through their advocacies for women empowerment, environmental protection, education and others.

This year’s theme was elements of nature that is meant to highlight environmental awareness and the different roles of individuals in saving and preserving the environment. In addition, the theme also showcased how the townspeople are connected and unified despite their diverse backgrounds.

Aside from the elegant gowns, colorful and creative costumes, exquisite production number and high-end lightings and stage decorations, this year’s coronation night was made even more special with the presence of GMA 7’s “Pambansang Ginoo” David Licauco who serenaded the ladies in a special performance.
