Poster-Making Tilt Caps Off Farmers’ Week Celebration by Cris Florence L. Perez (BNHS)

Creative minds, ingenious ideas and amazing visual representation of the theme, “Bayambang, Isulong ang Ninanais na Kaunlaran” were shown by young artists during the Poster-Making Contest at PSU Bayambang Campus grounds, April 1, 2023.

 

The event, which is one of the culminating activities of this year’s celebration of Farmers’ Week, aimed at encouraging the young generation to appreciate the arts and importance of activities related to agriculture as a cultural trademark and a source of livelihood.

 

\The judges for this event included agripreneur Ralph Mar Pinzon, Bayambang Polytechnic College instructor Albert Maiquez, and Municipal Livelihood Consultant Artemio Buezon, and the criteria for judging included Originality, 20%; Creativity, 20%; Visual Impact, 30%; and Relevance to the Theme, 30%.

Winning participants from third to first place in primary and secondary levels are set to receive cash prizes. For Elementary, First Place will receive P7,000; Second Place, P5,000; and Third Place, P3,000. For Secondary, First Place will receive P10,000; Second Place, P8,000; and Third P5,000.

Winners will be announced on April 3, 2023 during the flag ceremony.

 

This year’s Poster-Making Contest, along with other events under Farmers’ Week celebration, was organized by LGU’s Municipal Agriculture Office in partnership with UNAHCO.
