Local products from Bayambang and various neighboring municipalities took the spotlight and welcomed the spectators of this year’s Pista’y Baley as the Aqua-Agri Trade Fair kicked off at Pangasinan State University-Bayambang Campus grounds, March 27, 2023.
The trade fair featured different decorative and colorful booths selling Bayambang’s signature products such as O-Krantz vacuum-fried crispy vegetables, Bayambang’s Best Longganisa, and others.
Likewise, different innovative local products such as Mushroom Polvoron, Vegan Shawarma, and other local products from other municipalities were also featured in the trade fair which was organized by the Municipal Agriculture Office together with various farmers’ groups.
Vice-Mayor Ian Camille C. Sabangan led the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the trade fair and delivered a message to the farmers of the town in which she assured that the LGU-Bayambang will always support any programs especially for the local farmers.
She also encouraged local farmers to avail of the E-Agro app, a one-stop-shop digital platform that helps farmers to easily sell their products, learn new knowledge about modern farming, and learn the right way to protect their crops, among other features.
Towards the end, the LGU Bayambang under the leadership of the Municipal Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao swore to uphold and give top priority to laws and initiatives that will improve the lives of local farmers.
The event aims to highlight the contribution of local farmers in the life of the town and provide them a special opportunity to market and sell their produce. The booths are set to last until March 31, 2023.
