The Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Team (BPRAT) went around the town’s main vegetable growers to assess their capacity to supply a potential client.
BPRAT met with farmers in Ambayat 1st, Ambayat 2nd, Managos, and Warding on June 19, 2019 to assess their capacity to produce 100 kilos per week for One Food Corp. for their line of vacuum-fried onion, squash, okra, and tomato products.
This is in line with the sectoral goal of “Enhanced promotion and marketing of agricultural products” as outlined in the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Action Plan 2018-2028.
It is hoped that hooking up the local farmers directly with the likes of One Food Corp. will help them boost their income.
