The Municipal Agriculture Office has received a modern rice planter last July 31 from the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office I after requesting farm machinery from the agency.
The rice planter uses modern technology, enabling the planting of rice seedlings at the rate of one hectare per two hours.
The recipient of the planter are the farmers of Mangabul Seed Growers Marketing Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Brgy. Pantol.
The farmers were assisted in the demonstration of the machine’s operation by Municipal Seed Inspector Ricardo dela Masa.
