Local farmers received around P5M worth of farm equipment from the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office I last January 19 at the Pangasinan Research and Experiment Center in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.
Awarded were the following equipment:
– one four-wheel tractor worth P2.3M given to Managbangkag Paragos Farmers’ Association (FA) Inc.
– one baby tractor worth P1.2M and five knapsack sprayers to Brgy. Amancosiling Sur Grains and Vegetable Growers FA, and
– 17 water pumps costing P70,000 each to Naragsak Warding, Amancosiling Sur Bayambang, Sanlibo, Makukuli, Langiran Gayon Gayon, San Gabriel 2nd, Buenlag 1st Bayambang, Managbangkag, and Aliguas Ataynan FAs.
This quarterly donation from the regional DA office was made possible through the requests filed by the local farmers with the assistance of the local DA office.
Municipal Legal Officer Atty. Raymundo B. Bautista Jr. represented Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao during the turnover of the equipment in front of the Municipal Hall later in the day. Present during the turnover were local DA officials led by Artemio Buezon and the presidents of the different beneficiary farmers’ associations.
