DSWD RO1 Turns Over P9M+ Fund for Sustainable Livelihood Program


The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office I turned over a check to LGU-Bayambang in the amount of P9,248,028.00 at the Office of the Mayor on December 7, 2017 for the purpose of funding DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) in Bayambang.

Mayor CTQ, assisted by Municipal Administrator Atty. Rodelynn Rajini Sagarino and Municipal Treasurer Luisita Danan, personally received the check handed over by representatives of Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo and the officers and staff of Municipal Link and Pantawid Pamilya Program.

Under the Memorandum of Agreement signed by DSWD-FO1 and LGU-Bayambang, the latter will contribute an amount of P59,400.00 to the livelihood program.

Some 660 Pantawid Pamilya members stand to benefit from this fund through skill trainings in hog fattening and goat raising and provision of seed capital funds.

The beneficiaries have been selected through community consultation, and they come from the following SLP associations (SLPAs): Masaganang Maigpa Workers, Manambong Sur Farmers, Pangdel Rice Retailers, Mangabol Workers, Manambong Norte Workers, Warding Farming, Managos Farming, Hermoza Farmers, San Vicente Rice Retailers, and Aangat Tayo SLPA.
