Tourism Month Celebration Continues with “Kiew,” a Tree-Planting Project in Langiran

Representatives from the Local Government Unit of Bayambang, the Department of Agriculture and Langiran Barangay Council, together with students from Saint Vincent Catholic School of Bayambang Inc., Bayambang National High School, and Tococ NHS, participated in a tree-planting activity on Friday, September 8, as part of this year’s celebration of Tourism Month.

According to Municipal Tourism Officer Rafael L. Saygo, the activity — dubbed “Kiew” — is part of the preparation in making the Langiran Lake area an eco-tourism park. More than 300 seedlings of fruit-bearing trees such as mango and cashew and forest trees like mahogany and acacia were planted along the newly-constructed road in Brgy. Langiran which has been the project of Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao.
