A total of 53 individuals from the municipal government and private sector, including the wife of Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao, Nina Jose-Quiambao, and Municipal Administrator Atty. Rodelynn Rajini Sagarino, took the initiative to donate blood last February 14 at the Bayambang National High School Gymnasium.

The Valentine’s Day bloodletting program was initiated by Rotary Club-Bayambang, Local Council of Women, the LGU, and the Knights of Columbus in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Dagupan Chapter.

According to Rotary Club Secretary, Gloria Valenzuela, the activity aims to help the PRC keep an adequate supply of safe and quality blood to enable them to respond to emergencies. The activity took the theme “Give Love, Give Blood, Share the Gift of Life.”

“This is why we are strongly encouraging people to donate blood voluntarily and regularly. We are calling on our regular blood donors to continue giving blood as well as and other people in good health to donate blood,” she added.
